To make the background I traced my oldest. Then the 5 and 2 year old helped pin everything in place. I cut while they were all asleep. Once everything was sewn together I had the girls stuff them. That was a lot of bones to stuff and I am sooo glad that I had 2 helpers. And a trick I learned about stuffing tight spots is to use chopsticks. We have a lot of those in our house. My oldest was a pro at stuffing with chopsticks when we were done with this project.

Bag O'Bones
First, start with a pile of bones.
Then just jump right in! There are a ton of different ways to play. You can use the cheat sheet on the front of the games carrying case that holds all the pieces together. You can use the index cards that give the names of all the bones. Or you can just stick them wherever you please.
The best part is not only is this game fun for the whole family, (cause do you know all the names of the bones? I don't!) but the kids can also help to make this game. They can and did help with every step in the making of their own kid sized skeleton. Child labor at it's best!

I could tell this was your project by the tiny little helper hands! It could also have come from the bone box they brought home the first year of med school! Very cute!

The bones are way cute. Are you by chance going to post the pattern? My grandsons would adore putting this together. Thank you for all your hard work.
Of course, I'm wondering about a pattern for the bones, too. This would be an awesome addition to our homeschooling!
I'm not much into Halloween (we don't celebrate it), but I was wondering if you could substitute one of those jiggly skeletons they always seem to have left for after-Halloween clearances. I've seen some pretty big ones that might come close to the size of a child ... Just a thought! :)
