Tea Party Table-SYTYC Audition Piece

The poll is closed and I made it in the top 10!
Thanks to everyone who voted and I know a lot of you are wondering if you voted correctly so here is my entry.

Remember those crayola covered kid tables? Well, my mom gave me hers when we moved out here. I was super happy to have a little kid table (had been wanting to buy the cute ones from IKEA) but HATED the colors. So I decided I would just re cover it and paint it.

I already had some iron on vinyl on hand and TONS of scrap fabric to use. What is iron on vinyl you ask? The best thing ever! You can get it a JoAnn's. It comes in a roll and you just iron it onto whatever fabric you want and instantly you have vinyl fabric. If you want you can cover both sides, but for this project I just needed the front covered.
The spray paint I picked ended up semi-matching the colors of the table and chairs already. The red chair became pink, the blue chair a different blue, green to green, ect...
The colors were just a little less 80's after the painting was done. And the paint was the only money I spent on the whole project.
So forget a cute wooden Ikea table. These are more personal, upcycled, less expensive and fold up, ready to be put away.

Love them!!

My favorite part, that you made something old, new again. I love doing that, and there is a certain pride that come with it as well.

Congrats on making it to the top 10!!
